EmFSus (Emerald for Sustainability)
“Putting the EMPHASIS on Sustainability”
EmFSus (Emerald for Sustainability) is a not-for-profit, non-politically aligned, community action group, and has recently become a sub-committee of the Emerald Community House.
This local sustainability group was formed in February 2008 in response to the community need to establish a grass roots organisation to tackle the problem of climate change and to empower the community to take action. The focus is for residents, businesses and community groups in the Emerald district to:
with the aim to live a low carbon or carbon neutral lifestyle.
The meetings so far convened have demonstrated how this lifestykle can be achieved through sharing ideas and views and sharing information and knowledge. Meetings are held in the Meeting Room at Emerald Library on the second Monday of the month commencing at 7:30pm usually with a guest speaker.
