Emerald Craft & Produce Market
Please bring your own bags or boxes as our stallholders aim for sustainable packaging and may not have plastic bags available
Emerald Community House runs a Craft and Produce Market held monthly on the third Sunday, 9am-3pm all year round, in the beautiful township of Emerald. . Local Customers and tourists can buy their fresh fruit and veggies, often picked fresh that morning. There is always something yummy to eat and the surrounding cafes serve excellent coffee with friendly smiles. You’ll find fresh herbs and plants, teas and crafts of all sorts. Taste the wines and take some home. Buy a unique gift for yourself of a friend. Meet a friend and chat to the stallholders about the products they proudly grow or make.
And now the market has extended…… Just a few metres up the road at the Emerald Community House Heritage Hall, you are in for a treat on Market Days with the Pamper Palace. Here you will find items for the body and soul. Pamper yourself or a loved one with personal care items, beautiful jewellery and handcrafts, cards, books and a yummy treat.
The number of stalls available is limited; outside stalls consists of around 25 stallholders selling only high quality, homemade, home-grown or vintage goods. These stalls are located between the Post Office and Commonwealth Bank sites at the corner of Kilvington Drive and Main St, Emerald. Stall holders at the Craft and Produce Market must bring suitable tables and shelter to protect and display their wares. Note; stalls without adequate shelter will not be permitted.
The cost per stall, per market in the outdoor section is $30.00 for occasional stallholders. Or pay for 6 months in advance for $150, or 12 months in advance for $275. (No refunds will be given for missed markets unless previously arranged).

Inside the hall at the Pamper Palace, stalls are $20 each or $100 for 6 months. Stallholder fee proceeds are donated to the Breast Cancer Network. Indoor stallholders are provided with a table so all you have to bring is yourself, your beautiful wares and a happy smile. Some outside stalls are also possible in this extended location.
Stall holders at both sites are required to pay $80 per annum insurance which covers up to 15 markets per year at this location. Occasional stallholders can pay $10 per market for public liability insurance. If you already hold Public Liability insurance you just need to provide your certificate of currency.
Food stalls must obtain relevant permits from the Cardinia Shire Council. This means that any business which trades, stores, prepares or otherwise handles ANY food item must register that place at which they trade with Cardinia Shire Council. The only exception is for businesses that are specifically registered as a mobile food vehicle. These businesses need to provide the Council with a copy of their Food Act registration certificate at least once every year.
As these requirements can be confusing, where any form of food is handled, stallholders must contact Lauren Caval, Environmental Health Officer, Cardinia Shire Council, Ph: 5945 0416, Fax: 59401936, Email: l.caval@cardinia.vic.gov.au
Please note, all stalls are subject to prior approval. There is currently a waiting list for jewellery vendors. Some stalls will be given priority over others, eg. Produce stalls are sought and will be given precedence over occasional craft stalls to balance the selection and variety.
Proceeds from the Emerald Craft and Produce Market go to the PAVE Festival – Performing And Visual arts in Emerald, brought to you in April each year by the Emerald Community House. See www.pave.org.au for more details of the festival.
