Our Mission at Emerald Community House is to engage members of the community through the provision of the highest standards of community development activities, programs and services that continually meet their needs.

ECH provides many projects and services such as PAVE, Emerald Craft and Produce Market, Emerald Funfest, EmFSus, quality childcare and the new emerging Emerald Business Group. Through these activities, ECH boosts the community strength through local networking and sustainability initiatives, both economic and environmental. Our programs, services and initiatives foster community wellbeing and empower people to “think outside the box” for local solutions. 

ECH staff and volunteers, who are our most valued assets, are equipped with a ”can-do” attitude. The ECH workplace offers volunteers the chance to creatively engage with the community, hone their employment skills or develop their experience in preparation for entering the job market. We offer a range of locally based and locally managed programs and services, including adult education courses which are funded via ACFE for those who wish to further their education or increase their employabbility skills. Our general education programs cater for a wide range of interests. The House provides a warm, welcoming and creative environment with projects and services such as:
